Iron Blood Orphans

Mobile Suit Gundam:
Iron Blood Orphans

This being my first ever Gundam, and a good one to start with if I might add. Just a whole different experience from my usual. I tend to like Shoujo romance stuff, not the whole mech thing. I've seen Aldnoah Zero and that was great and all. . . until the last episode which just killed the whole show for me. That being said, it threw me off from watching another mech show, but that's a rant for another time, I want to talk about MSG:IBO for freaks sake.Like I said earlier, I was skeptical to start watching this when I first heard about it Fall 2015 anime season.

The first episode a new experience for me with the whole mech anime genre. A lot of people are not digging the anime because of the main characters attitude and to tell you the truth I wasn't liking it either. Mikazuki grew on me though so I'm all for his calm unemotional self. During the First episode we're introduced to most of the main cast and some minor characters.
The whole episode was a roller coaster and quick intro into whats happening on mars and well a bloodbath.

The Mars colony Chryse wanting independence from earth has been protesting which is angering the Gjallarhorn. Its clearly something they don't want to see happen, but luckily princess Kudelia Aina Bernstein is there to help them try to achieve that independence. Kudelia needs the help from CSG (Chryse Guard Security) to escort her to earth to make their voice heard.

Gjallarhorn launches a surprise attack on the CGS base trying to erase their presence but doesn't happen easily. While the "Elders" (pricks) try to flee the Third Army Division retaliates!
Orga the head of the group leads the attack along with the child soldiers and foot soldiers left behind by the cowards.

While all this is unfolding Orga orders Mikazuki to pilot the Legendary Gundam Barbatos. Mikazuki goes into action and here appears BARBATOS!!!! Mikazuki is able to repel the Gjallarhorn which retreat to safety.
I cant tell you how excited I was when Barbatos appeared in the midst of battle, I felt like a kid getting a new toy. I mean come on, look at this beast!!

Does Barbatos not look amazing? I believe so. This is when I knew this show was just gonna fill a spot in my heart that's been missing some attention, that being Mecha.

The anime is currently in its second phase at this time on episode 16-17 depending how you watch it. It will be 25 episodes long and its a fun watch if youre wanting to pick up the Gundam series or just looking for a nice mecha anime to watch. The anime does have its own flaws but not much to the point where its unbearable to watch. If you have been watching it then let me know what you think about MSG:IBO. Do you like It? Do you hate it?

Bonus cute Barbatos because why not make
an awesome mech into something super cute.

Thanks for taking the time to read.
Just wanted to write a piece on
the first episode of MSG:IBO, in hopes
of getting some of you to watch if you
haven't already.
Have a Great Day/Night
