Summer 2016

Summer 2016 Giveaway Winner

Very few people participated but that was to be expected, and by a few I mean two whole people.

So to get right to it, the winner is @Relex420lol with his comment
O shit free Anime,
My Focus this Season?
100% Wheter or not the CGI sucks and yada yada yada I'm a Hard die Beserk fan and even if it sucks I'll just suffer like Guts does
Why it's so great? Berserk touches on human archetypes without letting them run the show. We feel a real sense of intimacy with the story and characters but at the same time it puts those archetypical aspects into the most extreme situations possible that we have never seen before.
Here's my twitter https://twitter.com/Relex420lol Hope you like my comment
thanks for bein generous ur great
Thanks for your comment and I'll DM you on Twitter with the gift membership!
I was hoping more people would of participated but this was fine on its own. Hopefully next time there's more people.

Thanks for reading!

Spring 2016

A Small Rant...Not So Much

Spring season is coming to an end and last episodes are airing, whether they be the 12th or 13th.
That being said I dropped most of everything I had picked up this season.
Mostly because a bunch of the anime was crap or just hard to watch (e.g., Koutetsujou no Kabaneri) in general.
Don't get me wrong, it wasn't entirely a bad season but for the most part yes.
We got gems like
and,
which I have mixed feelings about, but that's a talk for another time.
There is some anime that I put to the side to watch in between seasons like Mayoiga, and Bakuon!

Then we had the stuff that I either had to put aside and drop. Some of you wont agree with me and others might. Lets start off with Koutetsujou no Kabaneri which I only put to the side for now. Reason being, I just couldn't stand Ikomas whining and Mumei being dumb. Then there was Hundred which I couldn't get past the second episode and I think should of been left as the LN/manga it is. And Asterisk War, I don't know how I got past the 2nd season but I actually finished it. There's more but. . . lets keep at that.

Overall I didn't enjoy this season, and maybe you did maybe you didn't. We all have different opinions/taste at the end of the day. . . unless you have superior taste like me, that's a joke. Most of this is possibly because I'm getting older, anime like Hundred I would of enjoyed a couple of years back. . . but not so much anymore.

Leave me a comment letting me know if you agree, disagree or just on your thoughts this anime season. Bonus Ram and Rem for getting through this blog post.

Thanks for reading!

The Legend Of Zelda

Twilight Princess Manga

Yeah you read the title right.
This is freaking awesome! So the duo mangaka Akira Himekawa will be coming back to the LoZ series of manga for a new manga. The news was released Tuesday and you can read the main article here.
The Akira Himekawa duo are the artist behind most of the LoZ manga series, only a small portion being done by other artist. If youre interested in looking at the whole series you can look at that here.
It will begin serialization February 8th at midnight. They stated that the original LoZ manga will get a "Perfect Edition" which I'm thinking means it will be revamped.

This is just exciting for me because I grew up with the series and I'm hoping this goes well. That being said, I'm wondering if they're going to change some stuff up or if they're going to add some details not seen in the game. Adult Link has been a favorite of mine and I can remember swinging my wiimote around pretending I was Link. I'm certain I looked dumb but it was fun.

So what are your hopes for this new manga, Is this as exciting to you as it is for me? Let me know. Again here's a link to the main article, and the link to the manga series.

Thanks for taking time to read my blog!
Hope you have a great Day/Night!

Boku Dake Ga Inai Machi

Will this be the best anime of Winter 2016?

I'm sure we all know the answer to that question, and some of you might disagree that yes, it most likely will.
There's just so much that this anime is doing so well with very little flaws. I might
sound like I'm just on a bandwagon, but in all honesty I'm truly in love with this anime.
Its at the point where I don't mind getting emotionally attached to it. When I say that I mean
that I don't mind getting attached and caring for the characters, and let me tell you that its rare for me to say that.

I don't want to say too much about the anime because I'm afraid of dropping some spoilers and such. So I'll just be noting some news and some of my concerns quickly.

Erased is currently on episode four as I write this with episode five airing in a couple of days. One thing I'm worried about is what they're going to do with just 8 episodes left. The manga has just been announced to end on March 4th and the anime to finish March 25th. That being said I hope they just don't rush the ending and mess up the whole anime by trying to cover so much in one episode like other tragic anime. I bet we can all think of a good amount that did that.

I still can't believe that I had never heard of the manga. I will not be reading the manga since I want to watch it all unfold in the anime. I most likely will read it after just to see if they changed any stuff.
With all that said i would just like to ask a couple of questions.
Have you been watching Erased? If so what are your thoughts so far?
Lets not forget the major question...
Will this be the best anime of Winter 2016?

Thanks for reading!
Hope you have a great Day/Night!

Iron Blood Orphans

Mobile Suit Gundam:
Iron Blood Orphans

This being my first ever Gundam, and a good one to start with if I might add. Just a whole different experience from my usual. I tend to like Shoujo romance stuff, not the whole mech thing. I've seen Aldnoah Zero and that was great and all. . . until the last episode which just killed the whole show for me. That being said, it threw me off from watching another mech show, but that's a rant for another time, I want to talk about MSG:IBO for freaks sake.Like I said earlier, I was skeptical to start watching this when I first heard about it Fall 2015 anime season.

The first episode a new experience for me with the whole mech anime genre. A lot of people are not digging the anime because of the main characters attitude and to tell you the truth I wasn't liking it either. Mikazuki grew on me though so I'm all for his calm unemotional self. During the First episode we're introduced to most of the main cast and some minor characters.
The whole episode was a roller coaster and quick intro into whats happening on mars and well a bloodbath.

The Mars colony Chryse wanting independence from earth has been protesting which is angering the Gjallarhorn. Its clearly something they don't want to see happen, but luckily princess Kudelia Aina Bernstein is there to help them try to achieve that independence. Kudelia needs the help from CSG (Chryse Guard Security) to escort her to earth to make their voice heard.

Gjallarhorn launches a surprise attack on the CGS base trying to erase their presence but doesn't happen easily. While the "Elders" (pricks) try to flee the Third Army Division retaliates!
Orga the head of the group leads the attack along with the child soldiers and foot soldiers left behind by the cowards.

While all this is unfolding Orga orders Mikazuki to pilot the Legendary Gundam Barbatos. Mikazuki goes into action and here appears BARBATOS!!!! Mikazuki is able to repel the Gjallarhorn which retreat to safety.
I cant tell you how excited I was when Barbatos appeared in the midst of battle, I felt like a kid getting a new toy. I mean come on, look at this beast!!

Does Barbatos not look amazing? I believe so. This is when I knew this show was just gonna fill a spot in my heart that's been missing some attention, that being Mecha.

The anime is currently in its second phase at this time on episode 16-17 depending how you watch it. It will be 25 episodes long and its a fun watch if youre wanting to pick up the Gundam series or just looking for a nice mecha anime to watch. The anime does have its own flaws but not much to the point where its unbearable to watch. If you have been watching it then let me know what you think about MSG:IBO. Do you like It? Do you hate it?

Bonus cute Barbatos because why not make
an awesome mech into something super cute.

Thanks for taking the time to read.
Just wanted to write a piece on
the first episode of MSG:IBO, in hopes
of getting some of you to watch if you
haven't already.
Have a Great Day/Night

Oyasumi PunPun

OYASUMI PUNPUN

I had heard of it a whole lot but never actually took the time to read it. I picked it up about a week ago and let me tell you that I do not regret it. I cant stress how enjoyable it is to read, it has its sad moments but they're worth it. Note that I'm currently on chapter 30 since I'm reading it at a slow pace, doing so because I refuse to reach the end any time soon.
Ill only talk about chapter one since I wanna keep this as spoiler free as possible.

Going in on the first chapter I was just blown away by the art, its not the style of art that I'm used to. I mean come on look at this page. It goes from simple to. . . well. . . that alien looking girl.

Punpun is just this small little ghost looking bird thing, its just something else. I was thrown off a bit because he never actually talks, anytime he says anything its either in a full black panel or in a square box. It was hard to take it seriously at first but it grew on me.

I was expecting this manga to just be comedy but it hit some dark notes on the first chapter that hit me like a bus at an intersection (Fukka reference). The dad fighting with the mom and then I guess. . . beating her up? Well I'm sure that's what happened but the dad seems to think it was the "robber" quote on quote.

Its so sad that we have to see him go through all this stuff and still keep on thinking everything is just fine. His enthusiasm to just keep chugging along in the following chapters is admirable, I wish I had that for me in real life. Don't get him wrong though thinking hes super nice and all because he has his darker thoughts to him as well. . .well mostly "God" does. Did I forget to mention the "God" in here?

Yes, there is a "God" that Punpun seems to summon with this little chant "Dear God, dear God, tinkle-tinkle hoy!". And BAM!! out of nowhere this Asian, glasses wearing, afro having man pops up out of nowhere.

He tends to try to give Punpun advice which I think is not the best at times. . . Like murdering his rival in later chapters (not much of a spoiler). I'm guessing "God" has good intentions for him but falls short on it.

Overall I just want to say that if you haven't picked this up for a read yet then you definitely should, because I jumped on this ship extremely late but I'm enjoying the ride and savoring it. At least put it on your TBR list for a later time. Don't forget that if you need some advice from "Afro God" then just say the magical jingle,"Dear God, dear God, tinkle-tinkle hoy!"

Well Ill end this here, thanks for sticking
with me on my first blog post.
Let me know what you thought
about Oyasumi Punpun.
Hope you have a Great Day/Night.
